Mark qualified from Nottingham University Medical School in 1991 before pursuing general ophthalmic training on the West Midlands Higher Surgical training rotation. He then completed a Fellowship in Paediatric Ophthalmology at the Birmingham Children's Hospital.

Mark practices general and paediatric ophthalmology in Cardiff and Bridgend. He can offer surgical expertise in small incision cataract surgery including multifocal lenses and toric lenses to reduce astigmatism.

Working with a team of orthoptic colleagues he can provide comprehensive assessment, diagnosis and treatment of squint (strabismus) and lazy eyes (amblyopia) in children and double vision (diplopia) in adults.

In addition we investigate visual aspects of reading dificulties including binocular vision, scanning/tracking eye movements, visual stress symptoms, Meares-Irlen syndrome and the use of coloured overlays.
